DESCRIPTION
Threesome, France s. XVIII. XVIII.
Painted wood and Aubuson upholstery.
Measurements: 93 x 54 x 50 cm (chairs); 98 x 60 x 65 cm (armchairs).
Set of two armchairs and two chairs in Louis XVI style painted wood. They are supported on four legs of fluted profile that follows a structure like a stipe column, each one of them conceived as a shaft. All of them have a molded decoration. These give way to a carved waist with simple geometric motifs, except for the front corners, where the legs are joined to the armrests, highlighting in this case a carving in the form of a flower. The backrest, rectangular in shape, is highlighted at the corners. In this case it is worth mentioning the upholstery of both pieces, which follows the aesthetic patterns of the Aubusson style with a floral decoration combined with scrolls and vegetal elements.
