DESCRIPTION
Dutch style bureau, late 19th century.
Walnut wood.
With three drawers.
Interior with compartments and small cupboard.
Bronze handles.
Measurements: 106,5 x 82 x 55 cm.
Dutch style bureau made in the late nineteenth century in walnut wood, with wavy lines front and marked decorative presence. The piece combines the function of a desk with a notable storage capacity, following a typology very appreciated in European furniture of baroque and rococo tradition.
It has a hinged top that reveals a compartmentalized interior, with small drawers, pigeonholes and a central cabinet, designed to organize documents and writing objects. The lower front is structured in three large drawers with bronze handles, while the curved sides and carved claw feet reinforce its ornamental character.
Because of its formal richness, the quality of the walnut and its careful interior organization, it is a functional and decorative piece, suitable both as a desk and as a piece of representative furniture.
