Pair of nineteenth-century Austrian vases. Made in porcelain painted by hand, they are decorated with mythological scenes inscribed in rectangular vignettes that occupy the cylindrical walls of the cups, whose bulbous bellies appear ornamented with anthropomorphic masks worked in relief. Valances and vegetal fretwork in fine gold border the foot, the body and the lid topped with a handle in the shape of an acorn.
