DESCRIPTION
Center table-violetero: France, third quarter of the nineteenth century.
Gilded bronze and Baccarat glass.
Measurements: 70 x 33 x 35 cm.
Centerpiece and violetero presenting a base made of gilded bronze combined with a vase in the upper area of Baccarat glass. The piece is supported on three legs of figurative character that adopt the form of the leg of a bird and that in the superior zone they finish off with the body of this animal with the extended wings, being this the only ornamentation of the round center. In the center and inside, another bird serves as the base of the violetero itself, which splits the bird's beak.
Certain decorative elements are reminiscent of Rococo works, while others can be related more to Neoclassicism, a mixture that was common in the art of the nineteenth century.
