English wheel barometer, from the Edwardian period, also known as banjo type barometer. The box is made of wood, decorated with fruit wood marquetry in the form of rosettes and conches. The structure is crowned by a split pediment. It features a circular metal dial with two hands and a barometer scale. The dial is signed: Monti & Lapeloni (London). The thermometer occupies the upper part of the shaft.
It is a type of instrument that combines a barometer and a thermometer to measure atmospheric pressure and temperature, it became popular since the beginning of the 19th century.
