Ramon Teixé i Boldú was a versatile Spanish modernist artist, excelling as a forger, embosser, goldsmith and painter. Although he trained extensively with masters such as Enric Serra (painting), Jaume Nobas (engraving), Jaume Escriu (medallistics), Rossend Nobas (sculpture) and Antoni Serra Fiter (ceramics), it was in forging and embossing where he excelled, being the author of the forged elements of the Casa Garí de Argentona, by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, and the lamps of the office of the presidency of the Palace of the Generalitat of Catalonia. He also ventured into jewelry, creating iron pieces, sometimes enameled, with a style close to that of Josep Maria Jujol. Curiously, in the field of painting he developed a more realistic style, in contrast to the modernist aesthetics of his artisan production.
