Francesco Bartolozzi (Florence, 1727-Lisbon, 1815) was an Italian engraver who developed most of his activity in London. He was noted for popularising the technique of dot engraving. He lived in London for almost forty years. He produced a large number of engravings reproducing famous paintings, such as Annibale Carracci's Clytie and Carlo Dolci's Madonna and Child. His engravings of this period were largely based on drawings by Giovanni Battista Cipriani and Angelica Kauffmann.
