Julián Grau Santos has held personal exhibitions in Barcelona, Madrid, Los Angeles and Tokyo, and has been awarded the La Rambla Prize, the Ramón Rogent Medal, the medal of the Fine Arts Exhibition, the III Sant Jordi Prize and the Van Gogh Prize, the City of Barcelona Medal, the Huesca Painting Biennial Prize, the Countess of Barcelona Medal and the Medal of Honor in the BMW Competition. In recent years he has participated in the ARCO fairs in Madrid and ARTEXPO in Valencia, Barcelona, Basel, New York, Chicago, Miami and Hong Kong. In 1993 the Mapfre Vida Foundation in Madrid dedicated a retrospective exhibition to him.
