Hernán Picó was formed in the School of La Lonja of Barcelona, where he had as teachers Félix Mestres, Ramón Calsina and Enric Monjo, among others. In 1932 he continued his training at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc and, after the Civil War, he dedicated himself to graphic advertising, acquiring great renown as a poster artist. He made his individual debut at the Sala Busquets in Barcelona in 1945, and competed in various competitions and contests in which he was distinguished. Throughout his career he held numerous exhibitions in Spain, Mexico, Germany, France and Belgium, and was a teacher at the Massana School between 1970 and 1975.
