Edgar Flores, artistically known as Saner, is an essential referent of Mexican neo-muralism that fuses the heritage of graphic design with pre-Hispanic cosmogony and contemporary urban art. His work is distinguished by the recurrent use of traditional masks -especially jaguars and skulls- which he uses to explore the duality of human identity and cultural resistance in a globalized world. With a vibrant chromatic palette and a narrative that evokes the mysticism of popular legends, Saner has taken his visual fables from the monumental walls of cities like Paris and New York to prestigious international galleries and museums, consolidating a language of his own where Mexican folklore dialogues with social criticism and spiritual introspection.
