This important poster, original of the time, promotes the "Automobile Boat Exhibition and Competition" held in Monaco during March and April at the beginning of the 20th century. The work was created by Adolf Hohenstein, a leading painter and poster artist of the Art Nouveau movement.
Motor boat competitions were popular and exclusive events on the French Riviera during the Belle Époque.
Its relevance lies in the fact that it is a clear testimony of what this type of event meant for the development of sport in the 20th century and, in particular, for the evolution of women in such a convulsive and decisive era.
