Typical representation of Morland's work in which it is represented inside a stable, like the one in the British Tate Gallery, in London, which can be said that it was his masterpiece. His works deal with scenes of simple and cozy life, characterized by purity and simplicity, and demonstrate very direct and instinctive feelings of nature. His colors are soft, rich in vibrant tones and quality.

George Morland, was an English painter, mainly dedicated to the representation of animals and rustic scenes. As a teenager, he studied at the Royal Academy, but only for a short time. From the age of fourteen he was apprenticed directly to his father for seven years, and through his talent seems to have supported his family financially. In those years, he had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with some of the greatest artists of the time, and to have access to the works of the old masters. In 1785 he moved to France, where his fame preceded him, as he was never short of work. George Morland's best works were made between 1790 and 1794, and among them stands out the painting of the interior of a stable, in the British Tate Gallery in London. His works deal with scenes of simple and cozy life, characterized by purity and simplicity. His colors are soft, rich in vibrant tones and quality, but, for all their charm, his works often show signs of the haste with which they were painted and the carelessness with which they were drawn.
