This female portrait presents a young aristocratic woman dressed according to the French taste of the 18th century. The effigy wears a dress in bluish tones with bateau neckline and puffed sleeves, whose material quality, added to the presence of a fine gold necklace, underlines her high social status. The lady is arranged in a three-quarter foreshortened position, averting her gaze with a studied elegance that accentuates her profile. Her hairstyle, an updo of curls in a high bun, contributes to the stylization of the ensemble, while she rests on a seat with striped upholstery that frames the composition.
