In this work we find a still life of landscape format, starring melons that are placed in the center of the composition. These are on a porcelain plate that can be appreciated very slightly. Next to both melons, there are several fruits such as peaches, grapes and a pomegranate that is completely open allowing the viewer to contemplate the interior. On the right side, a bottle of liquor can be seen, whose shadow has been picked up by the author, in a faithful representation of reality. This type of illumination follows the Spanish baroque tradition in which the light is established on one of the sides leaving the other in semi-darkness.
