In the art of the XVIII century a succession of sensibilities is manifested, that go from the rococo to the neoclassicism, whose common vein is in the conscience, for the first time, that universal principles do not exist, but subjective visions. Rococo extols the intimate, the taste for the delicate, while neoclassicism turns its eyes to classical antiquity, although being aware of reviving a past culture.in this work we can appreciate that new sensitivity that represents the rococo, concerned with formal beauty, sweetness, grace and elegance, aspects that tend to be embodied in the figure of women and nature. Also with the rococo the formats of the painting change; they become smaller, according to the new conception of the space of the palaces; the great halls of representation are replaced by small private rooms, which provide more intimate atmospheres.
