Measurements: 38 x 51 cm; 56 x 74 cm (frame).
Painter formed in the Superior School of Fine Arts of San Fernando, in Madrid, Rogelio López was a disciple of Sorolla, and after finishing his studies he moved to Barcelona to begin his career there. Known for his landscapes, although he also worked in other genres, standing out especially in portraiture and marine painting, López made his work known through exhibitions held in the most important art galleries in Barcelona at the time: the Parés and the Layetanas Galleries. He also participated in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts in 1895, 1897, 1899 and 1900, obtaining on the second of these occasions an honorary mention.
