The artist of the present composition immortalizes the Patio de los Arrayanes, nexus of the Nasrid Palaces famous for its large central pond, which served to reflect the imposing Tower of Comares, creating a visual effect of symmetry and grandeur. Its name is due to the myrtle trees that surround the pond.
