Painter and draftsman, although born in Argentina, Jaume Pizà lived in Barcelona since his childhood. There he trained artistically in the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi, in addition to receiving lessons from Modesto Urgell. He specialized in portraiture, although he also worked on landscape themes, held several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions and artistic competitions in Barcelona. In 1910 he presented two pencil portraits at the Exhibition of Old and Modern Portraits held in Barcelona. He took part in the Art Exhibitions of the same city in 1918 and 1919 with his works "Cementerio de Begoña", "Moisés" and several portraits. With two drawings he took part in the one of 1922 and with another two, portraits, in the one of the following year. In the National Exhibition of Fine Arts held in Barcelona in 1942 he presented a studio head. He was awarded several times, being distinguished with the second prize of drawing in one of the Spring Exhibitions. He also held several individual exhibitions in various art galleries in Barcelona.
