Chelín studies at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, passing through the Circulo de Bellas Artes and the Museum of Artistic Reproductions. He travels to Paris where he discovers new artistic expressions. He participates in the foundation of the groups A Carón and Galga, towards the end of the seventies, in which we find artists such as Correa Corredoira, Mon Vasco, Fermín Encinar, Alberto Carpo, Pepe Galán, Cesar Otero and others. The activity of these groups, basically collective exhibitions, lasted until the early eighties. Chelín is a consummate draftsman who brings with his painting his particular representation of the world from his point of view, mainly with an abstract style and a refined technique. Throughout his career as an artist he has received numerous prizes and awards that have made him reach both national and international collections, among which stand out: Isaac Díaz Pardo Award in the years 1999 and 2000, Chelín has exhibited indicidually and collectively in Coruña, Santiago, Vigo, Madrid, Salamanca....
