Catalan painter and engraver, Domènec Olivé was formed in the School of Fine Arts of Barcelona with Félix Mestres, and later he extended his studies in Paris, where he entered in contact with the impressionism. A painter of landscapes, portraits and figures, in 1996 the Generalitat de Catalunya dedicated a monographic exhibition to him at the Palau Moja in Barcelona. He is currently represented in the MACBA, in the Museu Marítim de Barcelona and in numerous important private collections.
