Vicenç Oliver was formed in Barcelona, in the School of La Lonja, where he was a disciple of Gelabert. He did not celebrate his first individual exhibition until 1940, in Barcelona, doing it with posteriority in the rooms Eureka of Madrid and La Pinacoteca of Barcelona (1964), as well as in Florida (United States) in 1960. In 1978, the Padró Gallery held an anthological exhibition of his work. Vicente Oliver's language evolved from an academicism of correct workmanship to the very limits of abstraction, passing through an impressionist period and a stage of violent chromatic exaltation. Although he cultivated various genres, he was especially outstanding in the recreation of the underwater landscape.
