Painter, draftswoman and sculptor, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Sant Jordi in Barcelona in 1985, Carmen Galofre became known in the Biennial of La Caixa in the Reales Ataranzas, in 1982. She made her individual debut in 1988 at the Sala Vayreda in the same city, and since then she will repeat her presence in prominent galleries in Madrid and Barcelona, especially highlighting the Sala Parés and the Cisne Gallery. She has also shown her work in collective exhibitions in Geneva, London, Saint Maxims (France) and Strasbourg. She has taught drawing and painting in different academies in Barcelona. She also directed the Painting Seminars of Menorca in 1993 and 1994. Her work has been awarded the Gold Medal of the landscape painting scholarship of Segovia (1985) and the Talens Spain Prize (1987, Sala Parés).
