Maria Girona was formed between Barcelona and Paris, also making study trips to London, Holland and Belgium. She developed an intense exhibition activity, which took her work to cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris and Buenos Aires, among others. He also participated in the Salones de Octubre and May in Barcelona, and in 1953 he participated in the II Bienal Hispanoamericana de La Habana. In 1997 she was awarded the City of Barcelona Plastic Arts Prize. She is represented in several private collections, as well as in the Museum of Modern Art of Santo Domingo. In the year 2024 the Can Framis Museum of Barcelona dedicated an extensive exhibition to her in its halls.
