Ramón Mas was formed in the School of La Lonja of Barcelona, specializing in the landscape and the still life. He made his debut in 1929 at the Galerías Laietanas in Barcelona, where he repeated his presence in 1935, and between 1941 and 1954 he held several solo exhibitions in various galleries in Barcelona. He also participated assiduously in the Spring Exhibitions of Barcelona during the forties and fifties. After a long break of more than twenty years, he exhibited his work again in 1976, and since then he has shown his works regularly in several Catalan towns. In 1979 the Museum of Sant Pol de Mar, the town where he was born and where he had lived since 1976, paid tribute to him with a large retrospective exhibition.
