The painting presents a vibrant and dynamic landscape, dominated by the angular structure of a bridge that crosses the composition with fragmented forms and intense colors. The influences of cubism are reflected in the geometrization of the elements, where the bridge, the trees and the landscape are broken down into superimposed planes and sharp lines, creating a sense of disjointed depth.
At the same time, the imprint of expressionism is manifested in the intense and emotional chromatic palette: contrasting shades of browns and greens vibrate with an almost feverish energy, conveying an atmosphere of tension and movement. The sky, far from being a passive background, seems agitated by energetic brushstrokes, while the water under the bridge reflects the scene with distortions that suggest a world in constant transformation.
