The author of this painting is clearly inspired by models of Modigliani, especially in "Nu avec la chaîne de cou", of which the painter made several versions around 1917. The sensuality and elegance he gives to the model (Jeanne Hébuterne, his muse and lover), her uninhibited posture, the elongated torso and the oval face, in short, the emphasis on the line and the formal and chromatic purification were distinctive elements of the style of the Italian master whose life was spent in Paris, capital of the historical avant-garde.
