Glexis Novoa emerged as one of the most radical voices in the effervescent "Cuban Art Renaissance of the 80's". He co-founded the group Provisional, a pioneer in performance, political activism and collectivist practices on the Cuban scene. Novoa settled in Miami in 1995 and, since 2013, divides his time between Havana and Miami. He is recognized worldwide for his site-specific mural drawings and ephemeral projects, works that walk the fine line between ephemeral art and architecture. His work often focuses on the architecture of power and community as a thematic axis. Glexis Novoa's work has been widely exhibited internationally and is part of the collections of many prestigious museums.
