Josep Fossas studied at the School of La Lonja, where he had as teachers Planas Gallés, Barrenechea, Muxart and García Morales. Throughout his career he has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions since 1965, and has won several awards. In 1984 he illustrated the thirty-five poems of the book "Montseny, Zodiz d'un paisatge", by M. Manet. He is currently represented in the collection of the International Olympic Committee and in that of the Caja de Ahorros de Girona, among other private and institutional collections.
