Born into a family of artists, he began his training as a disciple of Ramón Rogent. He practiced oil painting as well as engraving and watercolor, and has been a member of the Sala Parés group since 1968. In 1960 he received the Young Painting Prize of the Sala Parés, and the following year the First Prize of painting of the French Institute of Barcelona. The latter earned him a scholarship with which he traveled to Paris, where he completed his studies at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. His first individual exhibition took place in the Vayreda room in Barcelona in 1961, and since then he has had solo exhibitions in Cincinatti (1967), Los Angeles (1984) and Cassino (Italy, 1984), as well as in the main Spanish cities. Collectively he has shown his work in Spain, France and Austria, and in 2005 the City Council of his hometown dedicated a tribute exhibition to him.
