Self-taught, Domingo Alvarez became known at a very young age as an illustrator, working for various magazines and publishers. He attended painting classes at the Círculo de Sant Lluc, in Barcelona, to perfect his innate pictorial ability, and in 1975 he began his new and definitive stage as a painter. Since then he has held several solo exhibitions in Spain, France, England and Japan, in which the female figure is usually the main theme.
