Manolo Ballesteros has participated in several editions of ARCO, representing different galleries, such as the Pelaires Gallery in Palma de Mallorca in the 1999 edition, as well as other fairs such as ArtMadrid. Among his most recent solo exhibitions are those held at the Galerie Scheffel GMBH in Bad Homburg (Germany, 2006), and at the Marita Segovia gallery in Madrid, between January and March 2008. His paintings are the result of an evolution towards increasingly dynamic forms, full of energy. Color and line are the protagonists of his canvases and drawings. Ballesteros faithfully follows Paul Klee's premise: "art does not reproduce what is visible; it makes visible". In recent years, Manolo Ballesteros has devoted himself to formally materialize his research in the plastic field of abstraction, and has played with the complexity of geometric shapes, with the uniformity of pigments, the reduction of contours and tonalities.
