In this work Galobardes offers us a wide Pyrenean landscape with a village in the foreground, and mountains following one another in depth, forming a composition of certain scenographic tone, which is enhanced by the atmospheric treatment of the colors, which become lighter and brighter as they move away from the foreground.
Francesc Galobardes discovered painting during his childhood, and in 1947 he moved to Olot to work in a workshop of religious statuary, where he worked as a gilder, stained glass artist and painter. Also during these years he enrolled in the School of Arts and Crafts of Olot, within the discipline of painting. Some years later, in 1954, he held his first exhibition in a gallery in Olot. In 1960 he moved to Andorra, where he discovered his passion for mountain landscapes. Since then he has held numerous exhibitions, both in Spain and in the United States and Japan.
