Painter, draftsman and engraver, Antoni Munill was formed in the School of La Lonja of Barcelona between 1952 and 1957, to later extend his studies in Paris. Initially he combined painting with his work as a graphic artist, but during the seventies he abandoned this last activity to focus on his artistic practice. From then on he will make known his work, clearly affiliated with impressionism but also somewhat influenced by the tradition of Fortuny. He died suddenly in 1977, after having been appointed member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
