Landscape interpreted from a clearly expressionist language, where color and matter acquire a leading role. The chromatic masses, dominated by intense reds, ochres, blues and greens, generate strong hallmarks and transmit a sensation of energy and movement, evoking an emotional territory rather than a literal vision of nature.
Onésimo Anciones studied at the School of Fine Arts in Valladolid. Founder of the Grupo Pintores Castilla 63, in 1970 he received a scholarship from the March Foundation. Onésimo Anciones, whose technique is refined and focuses mainly on still lifes and landscapes of the Castilian geography, exhibited in Madrid, as well as in numerous galleries in Europe. Throughout his career he received several awards, including the Alexandria Biennial in 1974.
