Vives Fierro began his training at La Lonja and at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, in Barcelona. In 1961 he moved to Paris, and the following year he made his individual debut in Cartagena. He has exhibited all over the world, and has been awarded the Gold Medal and the Girona Painting Prize, the Ricard Canals, the Clau de Barcelona and the Cross of Sant Jordi. His work can be found in the Olympic Museum of Lausanne, the Reina Sofia Museum of Athens, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montevideo, the FC Barcelona Museum and the La Caixa de Pensions Foundation, among many other public and private collections.
