A painter and draftsman living in El Masnou, Barcelona, and brother of fellow painters Miguel, Andrés, and Guillermo, Alejandro Villá was self-taught. After an early period devoted to humorous drawing, he turned to landscape painting, holding his first solo exhibition at the S’Art Gallery in Huesca in 1964. He later exhibited his work in Vitoria, Girona, Bilbao, Madrid, and Barcelona, among other Spanish cities. His work possesses great expressive power, due both to his vigorous draftsmanship and his deliberate use of color hallmarks.
