The painting *Endless Horizon* (2023) impresses by the way it unites multiple layers of paint, texture and technique into a harmonious whole. Marlon Groot Zevert is a self-taught artist from Eibergen, the Netherlands, who devotes herself entirely to abstract painting. For her, painting is an escape from everyday reality, where she deliberately distances herself from figurative representation. Her work is driven by a fascination for organic structures, imperfection and the unexpected, an approach closely related to the Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy, which embraces the transience and beauty of imperfection. She lets the process guide her, leaving room for chance and spontaneity, the so-called "happy accidents". This mentality gives each work its own character and a strong personal presence. Her work has reached galleries in the Netherlands and abroad, including exhibitions at the Hilton Hotel in Paris and Düsseldorf. She is represented by Galerie Sous-Terre (Lithoijen), Royals and Rebels (Oldenzaal) and Galerie Peter van Os (Oirschot).
