Painting is for Marta Ballvé a way of thinking and, at the same time, a space of direct communication with the contemporary world. Her work is born from the need to express that which cannot always be formulated in words, turning the pictorial act into an emotional and reflective channel. Through a very personal palette and her own language, the artist constructs images where silence, perception and introspection acquire a central role.

Marta Ballvé has been recognized with several awards, including the First Prize for Painting Expochess Vitoria and the LXX Premi de Pintura Centellas. She has been selected in numerous calls, such as the XVII Painting Prize of the University of Murcia or Les Lleixes del CAM, organized by the Maristany Art Center. Since 1996 she has had multiple solo exhibitions in spaces such as the Casa de Cultura de Sant Cugat del Vallès, Casa Usher and the Centro de Arte Maristany, presenting projects focused on perception, silence and visual dialogue. His work has also been part of important group exhibitions in galleries and national and international fairs, such as Luxemburg Art Fair, Batlle-Argimón Gallery, Cromo Gallery or Antoni Pinyol Gallery, among others.
