In this particular work one can appreciate the characteristic stamp of Rosa Torres' painting, with the loose and individual brushstrokes, with the colors separated by white spaces.
In the 1970s, the artist came into contact with the Valencian avant-garde, such as Equipo Crónica and Equipo Realidad.
In 1973 she had her first solo exhibitions at the SEN Gallery in Madrid and at the Atenas Gallery in Zaragoza. Also in this year she participates in her first collective exhibition in Valencia, in the Valencian Painters Exhibition organized by the Ateneo de Valencia and Punto Gallery.
It is worth mentioning that Rosa Torres was the artist who represented Spain at the Venice Biennale in 1982.
50 individual exhibitions and more than 100 collective exhibitions are proof of the creative work of this Valencian artist whose work highlights the landscape as a theme. A landscape of the artist's immediate surroundings but treated in a personal way.
Trained in Valencia, Rosa Torres worked as a studio painter with Equipo Crónica. She is represented in various museums and collections, such as the IVAM, the Museums of Modern Art of Madrid and Bilbao, the Chase Manhattan Bank collection (USA), the Vilafamés Museum and the National Library.
