Cristina Cañamero develops a figurative language of meticulous workmanship and formal purification, close to a contemporary realism that combines anatomical precision, light sensitivity and a silent narrative. Her compositions usually present isolated figures in sober spaces, where light acquires a constructive and psychological role, and symbolic elements introduce a poetic or conceptual dimension.

With a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Granada (specializing in painting), Cristina Cañamero lives and works in Cordoba. She has received several awards since the late nineties and her work is part of institutional collections such as Andalusian Provincial Councils, UNICAJA, Coca-Cola Foundation, CAC Malaga, among others. He has participated in fairs such as ARCO and in numerous solo and group exhibitions, consolidating a recognized career within the Andalusian contemporary figurative scene.
