The design and scale of this miniature throne suggest that it may have originally been part of the iconographic apparatus of a carving of the seated Baby Jesus, typical of the Baroque sumptuary tradition. Its style responds to a late baroque aesthetic with marked influences of the Louis XV style, articulating a design where the backrest takes center stage with a large embossed venera crest and the presence of a winged cherub. The structure stands out for its visual lightness thanks to an openwork central panel with scrolls and a six-petal flower, elements that harmonize with the elegance of its curved and counter-curved cabriole legs. Finally, the piece is consolidated with an ornamented front skirt that reinforces the stability of the whole, fusing the symbolism of rococo prestige with a technical execution of great virtuosity in detail.
