The Montblanc Burgundy ballpoint pen is part of the classic editions of the German firm, recognized for its elegant design and distinctive precious resin that characterizes Montblanc writing instruments. Its finish in a deep burgundy tone makes it a piece especially appreciated by collectors and lovers of stationery with personality. Its smooth and precise rotating mechanism reflects the attention to detail characteristic of the brand.
Montblanc's history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Founded in 1906 in Hamburg by Claus-Johannes Voss, Alfred Nehemias and August Eberstein, the company was born with the intention of innovating in the emerging fountain pen market. Its name, inspired by the highest mountain in the Alps, symbolized from the outset the ambition to achieve excellence. In 1910 they officially adopted the name Montblanc, and soon after introduced the iconic white emblem in the shape of a six-pointed star, representing the snow-capped peak of Mont Blanc as seen from above.
Over the decades, Montblanc expanded its portfolio beyond fountain pens, incorporating pens that combine functionality, aesthetics and durability. The Burgundy model represents that expansion, offering a balanced, distinctive writing instrument in keeping with the quality standards for which the house is renowned.
Today, Montblanc continues to diversify its production into watchmaking, leather goods and accessories, but its writing instruments - including ballpoint pens - remain a symbol of prestige and craftsmanship. More than just an office tool, the Burgundy is a piece that reflects tradition, timeless design and the constant search for excellence that characterizes Montblanc.
