This table clock is a magnificent example of the high watchmaking of the Charles X period, a testimony of the refinement of the French Restoration period, where the sobriety of the patinated bronze highlighted the brightness of the fire gilding. Its large format and the complexity of its quarter chime make it a very important collector's item.
Made of gilded bronze, the dial has a rich decoration engraved with floral and geometric motifs. The Roman numerals are arranged in enameled cartouches, guaranteeing elegance and legibility.
