This is a pocket watch created by the acclaimed and recognized Abraham-Louis Breguet, famous Swiss watchmaker and mechanic of French origin, considered one of the most important in history. He was known for his innovations in watchmaking, including the tourbillon, the automatic watch and the anti-shock system. The Breguet Museum in Paris houses a collection of the firm's historic timepieces, some of which are more than 200 years old; the French National Maritime Museum in Paris also displays Breguet watches, highlighting his contribution to marine chronometry.
