DESCRIPTION
ROLEX Day-Date watch, ref. 18038, serial no. 8383319, ca. 1984, for men/Unisex.
In 18k yellow gold. Circular white dial with applied Roman numerals. Baton hands, with central chronograph hand. Auxiliary window at 3 o'clock for date calendar and Cyclops lens. English day of the week indication at 12 o'clock. Sapphire crystal. Fluted bezel, a distinctive feature of the firm and the Day Date model, which catches the light in a very distinctive way, creating a subtle glow that makes it unmistakable. Fluted crown with logo. President Armis with integrated Rolex folding clasp. Automatic movement caliber 3055. It works.
Total weight including movement: 136.9 g. approx.
With slight signs of use and dirt on the Roman numeral VII.
Measurements: 36 mm (case diameter).
The 18038 was one of the first models to incorporate the "Quickset" function (quick date change), allowing the date to be set independently of the time by turning the crown. This was a significant improvement over previous models.
