Possible Duke of Osuna
Fragment of a pastry case which, due to its heraldry, is probably a pastry case belonging to the Duke of Osuna. The history of the reposteros dates back to the 12th century, when the heraldry was established, but it was not until the 14th century when their use became popular, as they were part of the decoration of the relevant rooms of the houses of the great noble families, in addition to the original military use. The presence of these pieces filled the carriages and belongings of the nobles of the time, who in the case of the ornamentation of their palaces opted for the reposteros as it was a cheaper alternative to tapestries.
