Measurements: 65 cm high.
Modernist vase of globular body, long cylindrical neck and two elevated side handles of sinuous profile. It presents naturalistic decoration in relief and incised, with stylized vegetal motifs and a frog applied on the front. The piece combines glazes in brown, ochre and greenish tones, characteristic of the Art Nouveau repertoire.
Fritz Horta was a Belgian ceramist active in the context of the modernist decorative arts of the early 20th century. He is linked to the artistic environment of Victor Horta, whose nephew he was, and appears related to the Belgian ceramic production of Art Nouveau aesthetics.
