Drawer and modernist jeweler, Lluis Bonnin worked a language based on the fine and nervous stroke. He studied art at the Llotja School while learning the jeweler's trade in the family workshop. Bonnin was a great fan of illustrated magazines from Paris, and was very fond of the work of Julien Métivet. He was one of the people who participated in the first exhibition of Els Quatre Gats in 1897. He drew the illustrations for the poem Boiras Baaixes, by Josep Maria Roviralta, and collaborated with magazines such as Barcelona Cómica, Catalònia, Luz, Hispania and Pèl & Ploma. The National Art Museum of Catalonia has one of his works.
