Cuban artist, Carlos Quintana works a totally expressive style through a language that combines collective memory and fantasy with personal symbolism, with an incisive and synthetic stroke and a lucidity of color in its purest state. Self-taught, Quintana uses large formats for his canvases. Throughout his career, the Cuban artist has had numerous solo exhibitions: cities such as Havana, Miami, San Sebastian, Madrid, New York, Dominican Republic, Caracas, Toronto, Lima, among others, have seen his exciting pieces on display. His work can currently be found at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York, the National Museum of Fine Arts in Panama and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, among other important collections.
