Cesc published his drawings in various Catalan newspapers such as "El Correo Catalán", "Tele/Exprés" and "Avui", and was a mainstay of the publications "Hermano Lobo" and "Por favor". Since 1943 he held exhibitions of his graphic work, which reflects everyday life through his personal view. He made drawings for advertising campaigns, posters, cards and books, and published his cartoons also abroad. In 1987 he stopped publishing jokes in "Avui" and devoted himself fully to painting and engraving, developing a career that led him to hold several exhibitions and win several awards. He has been distinguished with the Cross of Sant Jordi of the Generalitat de Catalunya (1995) and with the International Prize of Humor Gat Perich of Honor (2002), and in 1998 he became a full member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi.
